The nurses job is to take care of students and staff while at school.
They take care of everything from bee stings, asthma, headaches and true emergencies.
Ms.Thompson stated, "Our #1 priority is to keep students at school, but if they have a
elevated temperture of over 100 degrees then they must be sent home,."
Their duties also include the following:
vision, height, and weight screening
scoliosis screening
headlice checks at the middle school
blood pressure and sugar screenings for staff and students
Educationally: Responsible for HIV and AIDS presentations yearly.
Nutrition Classes (calcium, iron, and folic acid)
